# Create new default splits for an artist
> **artist/{id}/splits**
This endpoint requires authentication. Include your Bearer token in the Authorization header.
## Description
**artist/{id}/splits**
**Description:**
Creates new default splits for an artist. The total share of all splits must equal exactly 100%.
**Method:**
`POST`
**Path Parameter:**
